A full-stack multi-brand e-commerce solution for Bir Group Holdings — the sole distributor of WD-40 in Bangladesh — enabling seamless product discovery, purchasing, and administration across WD-40, Vikars, V-Tech, and Bir Tools brands.
Introduction
The Bir E-Commerce platform is a custom-built, full-stack web application developed by FutureGenIT for Bir Group Holdings. It provides a branded, mobile-responsive online storefront where customers can browse products across four major brands, add items to cart, and complete purchases. A comprehensive admin panel enables internal teams to manage every aspect of the business — from product catalogue and inventory to supplier purchases and order fulfilment. The platform is powered by a modern hybrid technology stack, utilizing Next.js for high-performance frontend rendering and SEO optimization, Laravel and PHP (CodeIgniter) for robust backend development, and Node.js for handling scalable, real-time services and API operations. It leverages MySQL for secure and efficient database management, Bootstrap for responsive UI design, and jQuery for dynamic client-side interactions. Additionally, the system is built on RESTful APIs with JWT-based authentication, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance data communication across all modules.
The platform is hosted at birgrouptest.futuregenit.com and is currently in live test/staging mode.

The home page is the primary landing page for all visitors. It showcases the Bir Group brand ecosystem with a hero slider, brand category shortcuts, and featured product sections.

Auto-rotating full-width banner showcasing brand campaigns. Currently features WD-40 "The Can With Thousands of Uses" and Bir Tools/Vikars slides. Managed via Banner Setting in the admin panel.
Four clickable brand tiles — Bir Tools, WD-40, Vikars, V-Tech — directing users to brand-specific product listings. Thumbnails managed per-category in admin.
Horizontally scrolling rows of featured products per brand, with product name, discounted price, and original price displayed.
Persistent search bar with live autocomplete suggestions appearing as users type product names.
Shop & Categories
The shop page aggregates all products with brand-level and sub-category filtering. Each brand has its own dedicated landing page with a custom banner and product grid.

A live search bar with instant suggestion dropdown available on every page via the persistent header.
